Does we needed backstory on that ? She explain that herself last chapter, i don't think we needed a full chapter of flashback for that. @pockettrash i mean, how much time before one of the Kaijuu is one of their friend or worse, one of them ?

Raising flags likely. It doesn't explain much and there wasn't much thing to note in this chapter (it was short as well)

That said I felt like the manga aren't that popular in Japan, I wouldn't be surprised if it axed this year.

But Ogino probably insist to stay with the story further.
Hopefully next few chapters kicked something in the story

2 out of 16. The Bastioner sure drop like flies. My estimation of Bastioner is sure on the low side.

im kinda doubtful with aliens story there is always some really weird shit happening like rape or useless deaths everywhere, but considering the author i guess there won't be (i hope), also is the romance good in this one ? i just read chapter 1

Hmmm Youko's eye color is red but whoever colored it switched the color of Yorino and Youko's eyes, not that I mind it's an interesting look. I'm staring to like the backstory better than the one shot, I love that Youko's and Yorino's motivation is for the death of their closest people to have /meaning/ after it all ends

Just a theory but I think the reason why the Kaijuu's invading their world might be because it wants to be 'one' with the other body? Having two existing bodies will attract the other and idk...merge into a single body. Maybe the invasion means the Kaijuu will eat their own self?
