Yeah dengue or malaria is a game ender in these conditionsMosquitoes are well known carriers of diseases. Let's hope it's not malaria.
Wasn't that the rats?Ah yes, the BBEG of survivalism, the Mosquito. So OP that 95% of stories don't have the guts to put them in.
He's not just waiting on rescue, but he's not stopping trying to call for it. You need a hope to hold on to in a hopeless situation if you want to live.I can't believe how delusional he is to still think he's on earth after everything he's seen. Waiting for a rescue plane like a retard.
If they caught any disease here, they are just cooked. There's no writing out of this. Author probably won't write himself into cornerIf I were to guess, I am thinking he caught malaria since the others are probably immune to regular human diseases.
That said, if they are on an island in the Pacific, it's more likely he caught dengue fever which for his sake I hope is not the case.
I don't know about stats but to me, I find dengue to be less worse of the two. I caught dengue once and the doctors only prescribed me rest and water (and the usual common pills). It was a terrible week but I'm okay now.If I were to guess, I am thinking he caught malaria since the others are probably immune to regular human diseases.

Doesn't feel like a corner to me. This could be a way to raise the stakes, the girls would have to get Dai-chan to the magic area quickly to heal him or something. If they caught any disease here, they are just cooked. There's no writing out of this. Author probably won't write himself into corner
Also, mosquitos are just vectors between humans. In order to carry disease, they need to bite a person who already has it. There are no other humans anywhere near here, so how in the hell could they infect him?Not that I expect realism from this manga but, when it comes to Malaria, it usually takes around 10-15 days to show symptoms after the mosquito bite (5-10 days for Dengue). Exhaustion and malnutrition might "help", but these infections do not work this fast (nor cause people to lose consciousness). For now, I'll file it under "magic illness".
