Still is strange because the elf girl is basically a caster that uses the world's mana to cast spells mostly. In a dragon case she should revert to her original form aka dragon form instead of her human form unless they pull the excuse of "human form is more mana economic than my original form" which is kinda ankward.

Also not mentioning that usually dragons have their own (huge) magic reserves and she should be fine even in a manaless world unless she goes all out but even so should last for a while before running out of steam

She mentioned that they are dragon kin who’s special ability is to turn into dragons.

This implys that they HAVE to turn into dragons not that they ARE dragons.

I love how he gives this gritty, hardboiled, detailed introduction of his dystopian high school and his position in it, dripping with flavor text and world building, and Ana is like "Yeah, whatever, so then you know how to fight?"

I get the feeling that the transformation will break do to lack of mana and MC will end up defeating her and that she will fall in love with him as well (I think it's safe to assume the elf is falling for MC already)
