@Vasqueztion Sorry for a reply to such an old comment, but just for reference to future readers.
He actually PROPOSED to her. Like, even before Chapter 1 of og story. It's how they started dating, he spent 3 months salary on the ring.
It's just, we never heard her answer (obviously "no", since no ring) and it was swept under the rug as another "fun", if slightly bothersome, schtick.
So...yeah... He can't "ask her to marry him". He already did.
