@H1llmann The time I spent in Japan, one of the saddest things I learned was that the Japanese consider being divorced one of the most shameful statuses for anyone, especially if they have children. They consider it a sign of impulsiveness and poor decision making. "You got married and had children with someone you weren't 100% certain you love? You must have been raised wrong or turned out poorly." It's sad, but a lot of Japanese remain married long after they've fallen out of love and put up with a lifetime of misery to avoid the shame of divorced status. It's hardest for the kids involved, because they cop some of the flak from the situation too. "Oh that boy was a bit rowdy on the playground and hurt himself/someone else? Must be because he's got a single parent."

@dahhv2 yup, but like with many of these manga, good art + older female character makes it allll okaaay and totally not a crime/creepy... hell, even if the genders are switched, just stick a gimmick on the female character, like gyaru or something, and it's once again tooootally fine... ya :/

I don't get why these manga don't just make the younger character a college/university student and avoid the issue all together (and you can then avoid the no progress problem that happens when the story involves an underage KID and an adult), why must it be the creepy age gap of a high school KID and older character -_-

but then there is a lot of weird/fcked up stuff in manga so meh i guess... probably the more weird thing is how literally all these types of age gap manga end up popular over here and on manga subreddit

@ConstantErasing lul, the thing you're forgetting is the art (+ manga gets the easy bonus points for female sensei/older female). You'll find maaaany manga like this one that really only have good art yet have extremely high ratings. Some reason ppl ignore any and all issues with story/progression/characters/so on when they see good art, especially when the manga is going for the "wholesome/slice of life" tag o.o

I would find the premise alot more problematic if they actually crossed the line in their relationship. The whole idea is exploring a taboo relationship with limitations that slow progress, and seeing how the characters chafe at those restrictions while still staying dedicated to one another. Also fluff.

Presenting a taboo situation in a fluffy way is probably a way to escape towards that fantasy. In real life, these kinds of relationships are definitely not something you would want to hear about happening in your area, but since this is a manga it's able to fantasize that kind of taboo and make it cuter. It doesn't help that the two main characters don't look far apart in age really at all. It's just trying to play into that general fantasy, not necessarily making it an ideal you should strive to reach. It's really cute though, I think most people would agree.

Seen this style before, but looking at the artist works, clearly it's a different person or an alias.
A style that's easy to recognize but hard to link to any particular work 'cause they're not memorable enough lol.

Was this dropped by the translation team? Or is it up to date but chapters just don't release often
