On a philosophical note, this does raise some thoughts - if we were given "permission" to be as inhuman as we wanted, how would that look? All of us (hopefully) are molded by our responsibilities and "what's right", even if we're not constantly thinking about them.

Goku Shinya Black doesn't have to worry about "How should Shinya best be a part of humanity?", because that's not his role. However, without the other Shinya, he'd be back to square one, and would have to be all of himself. That's why he wouldn't kill him. Now, I wonder if Shinya White would refuse to kill his twin for the same reason (he'd have to wrestle with giving up his ambitions). So is that Shinya a "good / normal guy" because he was told to (and is able to because of the other Shinya), or because that's who he is?

This isn't the deepest look into the human condition, but I see that the author is kinda trying to go for something here. Anyway, now that that's done, looking forward to D killing this guy.

To be fair, helpful therapists (let alone competent/rational ones) are hard to come by if not impossible to find. After going through the absolute circus that is the search, it's much more reasonable to just say "fine, I'll do it myself". That being said, he could have just lived on and made the decision based on the twin's behavior.

Unsuspecting women being ambushed, maybe? No one knows about the cloning stuff but Shinya and his wife. Although coming in as adult and coming out as a child should have alerted them a bit, unless age manipulation is everyday stuff in divine dragon society :/
