Really shows how little Ayano understands how most r*pe incidents happen. It's actually in some ways much more horrifying than the common trope of "scary random stranger jumps you in an alley".

It is usually someone you know or someone you've been dating who... basically doesn't understand "no means no". Already it's horrifying to have to recontextualize someone you thought you knew. It's also a crime of power and aggression more than intimacy or lust. The other party doesn't even matter except as an object to assert oneself on.

... which is why it's all kinds of effed up that Ayano almost forced herself on him. Like seriously, wtf. I know she's damaged but r*pe doesn't become any less heinous if it's female on male. In fact the common perception that it is creates a lot of shame and stigma for male survivors.
