@Akemua Its shounen dumb dumb. if the girls didn't look attractive in a conventional sense (to them) which is that they look like they are simply wearing ears and a tail while still acting like their intended species. Maybe its possible for humans to breed with any species and so they look comparatively attractive to human females or all the animals are actually like demi-humans. The world is a result of genetic engineering. Males are more affected by the effects leading them to look far more like the animal they've had their dna spliced with while maintaining high cognitive function, the capability of human speech and use of tools. Females are only partially affected causing some physical differences between humans like ears, tail, genitals (for some), noses (for some). One can go on, but it would be funny if that were somewhat true

@Akemua Going to your main point, for a (relatively) long time, lots of fantasy or science-fiction stories have a certain habit when it comes to non-human species: Males will look like some kind of abomination or something that's distinctly not human, while girls are humans with some traits of the male added for effect.

This manga is the same thing, except it's with animals instead of aliens or monsters. While others could have put it better, it has indeed been around for a long time in both western AND eastern media. The fact that it's real life animals in this case is probably the only reason why you find it off putting because you automatically associate it with regular animals when you see them interacting instead of if it was just some generic monster or alien.

It's ironic because some of those monsters/aliens where it applies would be a far more disturbing thing if they actually existed in comparison to real animals, but that's just that. Because you subconsciously categorize those cases as fictional, you can accept them when it happens. Now you just need to stop subconsciously associating the male characters in this series as real.

It was a VERY simple observation about the fact the girls are humans with almost no animal-like features; but if you took the males ability to walk and speak away, they WOULD be your standard animal. That was it. It the stark contrast between them AND AGAIN, I WAS TALKING ABOUT MANGA, NOT FICTION IN GENERAL. If we're gonna get down to the nitty-gritty of history for this kind of stuff, look no further than the Greek gods. Zeus transformed into a horse/deer of some sort and seduced and screwed a female goddess. I am not arguing about the fact this sort of story with animals has existed before. Please, stop acting like I am.

I'm beginning to think you people are purposely cherry-picking what I had to say and want to argue about it.

please, FUCKING PLEASE, point out where I ever said that. That's right, you can't because I never said anything like that and you're just putting words in other people's mouth. The furthest thing I ever said was " it's basically beastiality because girls that are essentially humans are getting fucked by animals."

Again, nice job cherry-picking what YOU want to be an argument. As for THIS particular scenario, of a full-blown ANIMAL having relationships with girls that have TRAITS of animals, please, show me where this is commonplace in MANGA. Because as I ALREADY said, this has just, in the last few years, started to show up frequently.

I don't need to get used to manga when I have read them FOR YEARS. Which is why I know for a FACT, this kind of stuff has just recently shown up in the mainstream outlets. At the very least, on the translator sites. And, because I know there are other people like you in this comment section, I AM NOT talking about stuff like Rosario Vampire, I AM NOT talking about stuff like The Little Mermaid, I AM NOT talking about stuff like My Little Pony. So stop thinking I am. I am talking about THIS VERY SPECIFIC scenario of a human female that has TRAITS of an animal and a male ANIMAL IN MANGA that isn't a doujinshi or a niche product sold by an unknown author.
