Even more so considering he had to do it super fast so the first of the 6 still sleeping wasn't aware he woke everyone up by kissing. Obviously the guy was about to explain something about the order and reasoning, but it definitely can't be that that was the fastest. That being said, he was also going to say something in chapter 1 about waking up Claire first before getting flustered.

Charlotte also has the closest appearance to Alec's dead mother for what that is worth.
