This chapter is quite literally Lyle at his lowest and pretty much the moment before the turning point. After this Zelphy takes him on his first job and he proves himself and leaves the first speechless. It's all uphill from here. Too bad it takes so long to get there though

Well, we have chapter 16.1 now. Lyle is still getting all the same crap, he's still getting zero recognition for anything he does, the Ancestors are still just as bad and demanding as they were before, and Lyle is still just as much of a doormat and crybaby. So you guys were literally lying.

I read ahead, and it actually does improve noticeably after this incident so just trust us and wait a bit. @ethian78 is right that it's uphill from here. If I really had to quibble about what I've read so far it's that...

Personally, I think that at Lyle's age the First was kinda an outright loser compared to Lyle just being a pathetic kid, and he's only shitting on Lyle now after he had a lifetime to shape up.
Also the harem is outwardly born from a really shitty gag, but that kind of thing feels par for the course for this author.

Chapter 16.1 is out now. Lyle still gets zero recognition for anything he does, both the ancestors and everyone else are still constantly trash talking him, he still has zero spine and lets the girls walk all over him. So where exactly did you read ahead or see the "improvement"?
