The problem is always The First.
They immediately gave him their "Arts" the moment The First compromised and allowed his 1st stage to be learned.
I will have you know that The First and The Fourth are the only buff-type "Art" in the jewel. And the 4th's only buffs agility while the 1st's buffs EVERYTHING, which was why it was so important to get the yes from him before thinking about learning other Arts.
