This story goes slow, and that's important. This is an 18 volume series, and we're currently halfway through 2.

Good for dude to have char dev in the wn, but I don't think it makes sense tho. The way Ceres treated him was full on cruelty and sadism. This softball is not capable of being anything like that. He did kinda mistreat people but it because it was just due to incompetency.

I don't think she is negative cast. She's useless here and there but as least so far she's got the best attitude. She's the first one in this manga to be mad and yell at Lyle like that out of pure compassion, not bullying or nagging, so yeah thats refreshing and make her kinda likeable ~~

It was about indifference and not acknowledging her efforts. You remember how Celes beat the shit out of him at the start? He was doing the same thing here, just not actually hurting her. He wasn't taking her seriously, despite her trying her hardest to prove herself.

He also kept a lot of distance between them because Lyle is the second biggest hater of having a harem, and it turned into him ignoring Aria. She wishes he would look at her, and he wasn't.

(we haven't met the biggest hater yet btw)
