@nomadicengi Yeah ... that part of Japan is a Nightmare though at least people are noticing slowly. I expect a "change" around ... maybe 2076 if I'm optimistic.
@beperov changing jobs is considered to be bad thing in Japan as I heard. Many companies see such people as unreliable and troublemakers, specifically if they are just random salary men. They prefer to enter one company and work there till retirement, plus companies offer different benefits for long-term workers. So Japanese employees stay at one job for 10-15 years on average. And there is no guarantee your new company will be any different in terms of workload or bitchy bosses. This situation is slowly changing, but only slowly
@CookieMonster i guess the only way out of that is to just make your own company or go freelance? like, there's a lot of game devs and composers that did just that. something about a breath of fresh air and/or more freedom
@yohane white companies are your average salaryman's wet dream. i mean i never see anyone that can fully disconnect from work after work hours. it's a part of the asian culture that i hate.
Wait.... They're saying that "everyone has problems with this flu spreading around". Is that a reference to COVID ? This chapter was published 10 months ago, so I guess it is ?
