Yup, the series was pretty raping in the beginning. The fact that the MC is using tools to manipulate girls into plowing him kinda makes him look like a villain. Although I do find it interesting (the ideal, at least) of the MC going through a mental crisis at the end, where he couldn't get busy and instead feels romantically attached to the girls.

It is still a shitty series.

But people who consider what the fictional MC did as "not rape" will take their definitions of "rape" and "consent" into the real world. When a drunk person says yes to sex, there is no consent. Getting someone drunk and having sex with them is rape.

Depending on the semantics (does dying count as "damage... exceeds a certain level"?) and hidden consequences (lose a level if you die too much?), there might be no permanent consequences to dying (except time loss and losing clothing/tools brought in from the outside world). If so, the MC has utter freedom to explore the dungeon while underleveled.
