Sexual Violence tag is too ambiguous

So i was going to comment on a manga which does come under the definition of sexual violence that it should have this tag, the only problem i saw was that the violence in question was consential but was kinda domme heavy. The tag as it is i think more refers to rape and if the sexual violence tag does include things that are unsurprisingly sexually violent then consential and unconsential stuff should be seperated.

Imo sexual violence is sexual violence regardless of consent, in the context of tagging. Another question: what are the new tags then? "Consensual sexual violence" and "nonconsensual sexual violence"?

They definitely are different things, one is the characters exhibiting a kink, the other is a kink for the reader but almost certainly presenting rape.
im not saying that the tags have to have the words sexual violence, i just think a sexual violence tag cant be fully inclusive of all things that come under the words sexual violence. Im not asking for more than one tag because in all fairness most manga tagged sexual violence are rape, but the tag could be renamed to something less broad as that would make more sense.

Let’s try to get this back on track, yeah? OP, I don’t think this is something that will change on this site. What your looking for is a bit more fetishized oriented. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not kink shaming here. I love a big boobed chick with a slamming dick, but I don’t think mangadex will add a filter for futanari. If they were to break these down, it would have to be under a nsfw hidden tagging system, similar to their hentai setting. I’d like to see that.

The only other thing I can see working is a place for community tags, outside of mangadex’s Preset list of tags. Any thoughts, community?

First, Wikipedia is, by its own admission, not a reliable source. Worse, any Wikipedia entry on a subject is always captured by an ideological group if it is recognized that the subject has implications for public policy.

The distinction between consensual and non-consensual activity of any sort is an extremely important one, and perhaps especially important when the activity is sexual. Regardless as to whether violence is involved, it would be just super if those series with non-consensual intimacy could be reliably tagged. However, while some activity is clearly consensual and some is clearly non-consensual, there is a range over which there is genuine ambiguity. And, even outside of that range, there will be some parties who perversely argue that the consensual is really non-consensual, other parties who perversely argue that the non-consensual is really consensual, and still other who are honestly mistaken.
