This was the right amount of cute and funny this arc needed while still expanding on some main character backstory. I love that Eve and Ram turned out to know each other! For the human children, their memories of being human and bonds with each other will remain their strength to support the shadow house children in their goal for mutual freedom from the current system. Makes me wonder if there are even genuine bonds amongst the shadow adults to be found; tbh we're still not sure how deep the friendship and loyalty goes with Edward's team.
