It's interesting how Rosemary is still acting exactly like a living doll and face. Maryrose does all the talking and quite literally pulls Rosemary around, and Rosemary just feels like she's providing her facial expressions.

Also, is Edward about to become a surprise ally? Because the last chapter makes it seem like he's starting to open his mind to humans and how messed up the system is. At bare minimum, he might actually miss Ed...

Which makes me wonder: can unification be reversed so the human takes over? We know Joseph is in control. What if some humans are still in there and can reclaim their bodies? Would some shadows willingly relinquish their bodies?

As a final note, could Shadows need the island to survive? Maryrose got sick before they could leave, could it be because being further away from the manor weakened her? Could that also be affecting other shadows? Perhaps the change in Edward's mindset is literally from the distance, and the effects vary bases on whether a Shadow is unified or not.

Ahhh, so many questions and theories!!

Thank you very much for picking this amazing manga up!! And ahh, the goat Maryrose and Rosemary are back!!! Exciting developments all around. I can see Edward reluctantly begrudgingly work together with Maryrose (he wants to get back to the manor, after all, so it's a win for him too) and later on, Kate, at least to take down Anthony at first. But his mind is definitely changing, so he might actually become a real ally down the line. Who knows.

I agree! Edward seems to genuinely enjoy helping out the village. Goes to show how toxic the Shadow's house is and how it mis-aligns people with the capacity for good.

I'm curious if there are other shadows that have been transferred outside the Shadows House, because so many things could go wrong. Now they don't have that "special" coffee anymore, they are mingling with normal humans, and they have a lot of time to think about other things. So the brainwashing could become undone.

It's been a while since we saw her, but have we ever been shown a flashback of Rosemary from before the manor? Maybe she is just a docile person and prefers to follow others.
