Nice chapter, reaching towards the conclusion now. It's been an interesting sort of spy-vs-spy thing where, despite 4 or 5 different "sides" that can all see each other everyone is still in a Fog Of War type situation where nobody knows exactly what's going on.

• As expected, big challenge for Kate here was in trying to set things up to lose while not appearing overtly to be throwing the match, buy time, and hide her true capabilities from the adult observers. She doesn't know what the newcomers are thinking yet, though once this is over she'll be able to find out from Oliver.
• The newcomers still think too much of themselves and don't realize the current Starbearers aren't enemies nor the true threats they face and how things are "supposed to be". They're suspicious in the wrong ways and perhaps not fearful in the way the older freed Children are.
• Edward's side still is trying to pull shit, but Sara is almost comical in how blatant and petty/inept she is if it didn't have such serious potential consequences.
• The 3F here is kind of interesting, I wonder if they'll play more of a role as a wildcard, and if everyone else has forgotten their oversight. It occurs to me that at least some of them would really be interested in a shadow that was a vicious direct physical attacker in terms of powers. Might they themselves veto a disqualification when they could themselves see Sara's interference? They sure as heck aren't bound by Edward's rules.
• And then in the background to it all remains Anthony's schemes, and the secret effort to free Lou & Louise.

Real fun series, each arc brings a new twist.

Pretty sure it is. That's why the plot make Sara said it to show what intel they got. If it is indeed what Kate power is, the narrator would make it clearer outside of what Sara said

Yeah I know.. but his range is shit unlike Stella. I thought typical Sychte would just bounced off from the concrete or just a deep scratch, not like slicing a tofu. The wolverine girl also didn't cause that much damage as a fellow sharp thingy soot.

Sara's just openly rigging it against Stella. At least Kate tried to be subtle at making it easier in Stella's favor. I don't know if Candy & Stella are going to outright fail their debut, but this is getting reminiscent of how Kate & Emilyko almost failed their own debut last time.
