Super cool behind the scenes, nice to understand how Soumatou is fusing modern computer tech and drawing to make a fictional world that still feels so self-consistent. And I've always loved worked that really make use of light and shadow.
Those 3d models reminds me of how some manga and 99% of webcomics just copy paste said 3d models as is leaving that ugly disconnection between drawn characters and background. Bless artists who can see the significance of that, lol.
Having 3d refference made up for the more intircate locations and props is honestly genius- I can't even imagine what a life saver that was for the big cage.
@friendly You should see the extras for Mahou Sensei Negima!, the author literally has an entire academy city 3D modeled because he used it too many times since the vast majority of the early story just happens inside it. It's quite ambitious for a project of the early 2000s.
