thanks for the translation consideration, I never realized that it was such a mind boggling thing. in a language that is all about those tenses and formalities, it must be rough having a project deviate from that (at least deciding which direction to translate in). with the way you folks phrased it, it seems the author wants to use it to convey unique speech like calling "oujou-chan" in some contexts could be a playfully derogatory and just be "girly" but in the right context could mean "young miss". I'm not a TL person but I think it's really cool that the author is trying to alienate the readers through the language the characters are using.
