Fish + salt is impossible for me not to remember cod. Cod is the method of salting fish, usually cold water fish. We eat a lot of cod, especially on Holy Week, Christmas and New Year. Norway loves us because of the hundreds of millions of dollars in imports.

I liked the plaice/place pun. Localization isn't always a bad thing so long as you retain the spirit of the original.

I do enjoy when translators talk about their thought process behind puns and localizations, like Bainhart does with Ueno-san. Also, I wonder if we will end up with an entire encyclopedia of diferent fish.

@Ozonosfera Yeah I copied his style for the endnote. I was gonna write "I wanted to do a Bainhardt-style TLnote page at least once" in the last paragraph, but there's simply not enough space.
