Sayaka does seems pretty shady. I think the herbal tea is the reason why MC forgets her memories everyday.
But why? Why does Kurumi have to forget? And what even prompted her to write that note to not trust Sayaka? Why is there a skeleton buried under the tree?

Sayaka seems to really love Kurumi, so I doubt she's drugging Kurumi just so that she can see her firsts all the time. Their relationship seems pretty beautiful, but there is an underlying tone of deceit. But there is the genuine love Sayaka has for caring for Kurumi, so it can't all be lies.

Kurumi is apparently Chinese, and Sayaka Japanese. I wonder, will that matter to the story?

my crack theory is that something really did happen to hikari and the main lie that sayaka is telling is around the truth of the accident bc she doesn't want to hurt kurumi in the little time they have each day but honestly thats prob just wishful thinking

its obvious that sayaka was jealous of the two of them in some way and I wonder if the way she takes care of here is a form of spite somehow (mayb involving the nanomachines they used on the rats? they said they could alter memories and accelerate growth, wouldn't be surprised if its less than 14 years)

THIS MANGA IS SO COOL MANNNN

Thank you for the translation (oh no folks who could have guessed Sayaka turned out to be a bad bitch. Still pretty cute all things considered).

Kurumi finds a bunch of passports from various different chairs stashed in the chair, including an American and a Taiwanese one. With the stash containing bundles of money in different currencies, it looks like a secret agent's stash. That's why I would not assume that the Japanese and Chinese passports are real.

Welp. Not much more was learnt in this chapter. Though I wonder if Kurumi truly has Sayaka fooled here. And where does Kurumi go from here? Best bet is just making a more detailed note, right? Another allnighter would surely be caught (eyebags, tiredness). Or just run away now? (no chance)

I dont know whether I should keep in mind that Kurumi is only 10 and could easily mess up, or if we should just assume that she's pretty smart. I hope the author just conveniently ignores the fact that 10 year olds are usually not capable of complex escape plans.

I wonder what would happen if Sayaka catches Kurumi trying to escape though. Surely this has happened before even? Maybe Sayaka took more drastic measures then. In that case what chance does Kurumi even have? Seriously. How does Kurumi even have ANY chance at escape??

I look forward to seeing how Kurumi will go about continuing her escape when she loses her memory again. Putting notes where she would likely find the but Sayaka won't. That kinda stuff.

This is really interesting, I enjoy 🙂👍.
