why the tranlator just made his own mother miss gender him
Not a mistranslation 😉. Those are both his half-sister's thought bubbles from what I can tell (and the raw text did use -chan)

no i look again and is more likely be both mothers it also makes more sense as the next page/panel is showing the sister turning around to see the her half brother

Yeah, that might be it. Kosora's mom may be the one using -chan, although it's a bit odd given that the moms are sisters (chapter 25.1)

it's not odd considering that they are both sister are technically share the same husband and both children are more like to be full siblings than cousins dna wise at this point both treating him like being a real son is more normal

I meant odd Kosora's mom was using -chan, as there was a high chance she was told he was boy early on

-chan is not nessessarly feminine is just a cute way to say -san is common for mother use -chan regardless of the gender of the child
