I can understand Anran's trepidation, but Lin Hao really does deserve to win. He's put a lot on the line for her and he's been loyal all these years, and it'd be a shame if they didn't get back together.

To be fair, they were in the same area which was public space. It might be "stalking" by some stretch of the word, but not the kind that anyone would be particularly bothered about. @Eldistan

The irony of how childish this is: to not visit or talk to someone for years, fly all the way from France and say nothing, and then expect her feelings to turn in an instant when you feel like you’re ready. His feelings are incredibly one-sided. I don’t know why he’d expect her to rely on him when he simply wasn’t there because he made a choice not to be. I don’t particularly care which guy Anran decides to be with (they both seem decent enough) as long as he puts in the work to be with her. And no, creepily pining from afar and idealizing her does not count.

She's actually kind of right about Lin Hao. What does he truly know about the current her? Watching her here and there over the years only gives impressions and those impressions can be easily skewed by his own idealism. He's not actually aware of what's going on in her life, the relationships she has, her goals and values etc. Not to say he knows nothing, but there's definitely a ways to go. If I was her I would also think he's more infatuated rather than truly in love.

Isn't kind of weird to plan most of your life in one person? Like anran could have been easily married at her age: if her ex hasn't cheated or with a completely different person.
