It's common in the great China's(China in ancient time) descendants to called themselves with their own name when talking to elders. You could see some family in Japan, Korea, or even around Southeast Asia to be like this.

MC definitely has a flair for appearing humble while flashing the family's dirty laundry about. So if reading this right, she exposed the fact that received bad clothes making Shen shi look incompetent and shaming the family. Then exposed that Fourth miss stole and wore her clothes and coveted the position of first daughter. Considering how much fuss is being made about appearances and knowing one's place I'd say Fourth miss is in a lot of trouble. That and she'll probably be under house arrest for at least a month or two copying those women's commandments. Just guessing but they're probably a set of rules women are expected to know and follow to appear proper, and likely to contain several thousands of rules in a very thick book. Likely won't make sure every word is copied perfectly and just examine a few random rules to see if did it, but will add punishment if words don't appear elegantly written neatly even if she is a kid in the single digits in terms of age.
