The ninth prince bring's the Empress's twin nieces as concubines for Feng garbage, the prince and Yu Heng scam 5 million gold teals out of the princess, something happens where garbage man consummates with the twins, one that night and the other the next night, preventing him from doing it with Kang Yi. Kang Yi goes out that night and meets the third prince, Yu Heng follows, gets confirmation that they are conspiring and is super pissed. I kinda skipped around the novel, so I'm not sure what happens after that.

@roxanneayy Well, one's brother seems to be responsible for an attempt on his left that injured him severely, and the other is the second owner of a body that died because of "her" family. Being cruel or scary might be somewhat necessary to survive here.

@roxanneayy I would be cruel too if someone send me and my family away for 3 years, tried to kill me multiple times, treated me like dirt, to then kiss up to me when they realize I could make money and then throw me away again when they thought I had become hated by the ruler. Other than the 3rd dauhgter and her mom, non one has shown any kindness towards Yu Heng without ulterior motives, which is why Yu Heng have no problem treating the Feng resident cruel.

I in no way am saying that I was remotely bothered by what they were doing. Maybe that didn't come across clearly? 🤔Honestly don't see why the story needs to be explained to me or even Yuheng's motivation. I was just stating my opinion that they are cruel and that the people who had treated her badly before no longer stand a chance now.

I'm going to remain thinking that they're cruel since they are not beyond kicking a person who is already down. Do I think those people deserve it? Hell yes, I do (which is why I said I was also laughing at the family) but I can also feel bad for them.

It's like bullying a bully. I'll probably enjoy watching karma rain upon a bully but I also feel that bullying, in general, is bad. 🙃
