Sheesh, this manga has too many parts referred to from the LN yet were cut out and leaving out explanations for a lot of things. Qingyu is one of the servants MC hired a while ago and gave them the name of Qing added to their old names. I'm not sure but I think Qingyu had come from a merchant family that had fallen on hard times, mainly due to conspiracy and sabotage by a rival. She handles all the paperwork and manages the MC's businesses.
As for the gates, there was a moon gate built in the wall between the Willow courtyard and the now Marquess Feng Residence. Seems Mrs. Yao couldn't leave the Feng residence without permission from the head, first wife, or grandma for some reason. Although this might be true for the other wives and daughters as well, just that permission wasn't easily given. Now that she's divorced and in a different residence she can come and go through the front gate as she pleases, and the moon gate will likely be filled in.
Shame the cat died. Should've had her look at it rather than hoping it would get better. Wonder what was on Bu's hand that poisoned the poor thing? In any case, MC going to take this personally and if was done intentionally will be hell to pay considering 9th prince dotes on MC and cat was a gift from Consort Yun.
