This is like a farce when it's so brutally abridged. Like, who the heck even is that green-haired girl? Yet we are supposed to care about her circumstances? The manhua artist decided to skip so many chapters of the novel that this whole mission lost its footing entirely, yet now the manhua is trying to have impactful scenes and use characters whose introductions never happened.
Maybe this is the difference between manga industry and manhua industry: manga adapting novels tries to stay coherent, but then suddenly gets axed in the middle of the story at best, but often when the main story has only barely begun. Whereas manhua will reduce the number of chapters by senseless skipping of material, even if nothing makes sense anymore. Hard to say which approach is better, which worse, because both suck long noodles.
