Ah, it’s hard. I can see why he didn’t tell his ex, even though he really should have been honest. Bro needs therapyyyyyy. And more supportive people like Haedam in his life.

Thank you so much! I really like that we got some more insight in Chanyeol and his insecurities. Hopefully Haedam’s support will help him become more confident! I want them to film something together for his youtube channel!

I had a shit-eating grin on my face when this updated. Thanks so much ScanTra Savior scans team♥️

Whew Chanyeol has some deep-seated esteem issues, I could hardly believe he stayed in that 4-year relationship and even engaged without revealing his true self. I also find myself agreeing with the end notes, the way he broke up with his fiancée was nuts. He could've explained it to her even a little. Well, what's done was done. Really wondering how he breaks out of his trauma.

Honestly I’m glad he broke up with his girlfriend. Clearly, they weren’t meant to date each other, and their relationship was far from perfect. You have to consider why he’s withholding information from her (his trauma) and why he doesn’t feel fully comfortable opening up about it. And, as it turned out, any bad feelings he had about his gf stopping him from opening up turned out to be true. Say what you want, her snickering at that guy putting on makeup and calling it disgusting says a lot about her personality, and let’s not even talk about how she was about to slap him the second they met again. Hopefully no one thinks this but to remind you all incase, violence isn’t okay just because the perpetrator is female. She has no excuse. Other ways to get across your anger than threatening to/actually causing physical harm.

Tl;dr their relationship was far from healthy, even toxic towards the end of the end of it, so it’s great they’re not together anymore, but don’t draw boundaries between yourself and others just based off experiences of a few rotten eggs! There are plenty of lovely people out there too

Anyway lighter topic, why the fuck have their couple rings left scars?? Surely you wear a ring and you get a little temporary mark if it’s a bit tight, but she seemed to have easily taken it off so how the fuck has it made a permanent mark on their fingers LOL that’s not how it works x

Thank you so much for the chapter!!❤️ I’m glad he broke up with her because the relationship did not seem healthy at least from my POV. Hopefully he would be able break out of his trauma.

i dont think chanyeol was totally wrong in breaking up with her but so far he has only been avoiding his problems and this wont help at all, plus they dated for 4 years so he should at least explain to her that they have different mindsets or something like that, not leaving her 100% in the dark
plus, i think chanyeol is forgetting a really important detail here: haedam already knows he does makeup and loves it, she also showed fully support to him and never thought he was weird - maybe he thinks she is like that because she needed help from it, but thats definitely not it. haedam is not the type to judge people based on their preferences and to say "this doesnt suit you, stop that", she is an open minded and kind girl

I understand the gf cause honestly even if I don't say it out, I'll have thoughts like that too. The breakup leaves a bad taste in my mouth too since she could have adjusted i know I would. And chanyeol go away gimme the cute hamster

I honestly really dislike how Haedam is so physical with him at times. I get it, her intentions are innocent, but its lowkey abusive. It would be a big deal if, in the same situation, Chanyeol kicked her. Yeah nope. Anyways, aside from this, fuck that bitch and CHANYEOOLLLL MA BOOOOI IMMA GIVE U THE HUG U SO DESERVE 😭😭😭😭😭

It's a double edged sword, I guess, how Chanyeol decided to break up with his gf. On one side, he wasn't honest about his hobbies, about why he really didn't want her to bring her home, etc., and I'm sure as hell that there's some chances that she could have adapted to it... I mean, it was a 4-year-old- romantic relationship, you have to be honest with your s/o at that point, because communication is important in a relationship.

However... the girl also showed her colors when the first thing she did when they both reunited (a month after they got into a discussion and stopped talking to each other) was ALMOST slapping him? I mean... when I first read that bit, I got this whole idea that maaaaybe this was a bit usual in their relationship... which is also some red flag. Of course, maybe I'm going a bit ahead of myself, since we don't know exactly how well was that relationship in the first place, we only have context about the moment they were deep into toxic interaction with each other.

I think some ppl forget that there may be another layer of why Chanyeol was being hush-hush about his make-up hobby (and blog/youtube), and that's also thanks to past trauma (which we find out is not part of this flashback), not saying it is still justifiable to see how he acted (and has been acting), but it's still understandable in how he is. How he doesn't interact that much with others with obvious exception of Haedam, and how this noisy girl is changing him (quite slowly but).
