@tadanolurker yeah, those are things that I understand, though I chose to ignore to fit my comment <.<
But to be precise she's 10 because she's older than MC by 2 years, if I remember correctly, and to address your points:
- Yes, she's young thus it's understandable that she doesn't have the mature mind that Dylan or Eric have, HOWEVER they live in a village and world where danger lurks around the corner, you can't disregard the fact that she should know the time and place to be "playful". Unlike our reality where safety, convenience and commodity is a given.
- Dylan knows that Eric has been training in combat for a while too and even then reluctantly invited him to the forest, while Tina's magic proficiency was not geared towards combat at all
- Yeah, it was an unusual situation but it's because it's a dangerous area that he was so reluctant to bring the both of them into it, especially Tina.
I wasn't expecting her to have the same capabilities as Eric and Dylan, because she is not trained in any way for combat, but she understood almost immediately that something was wrong when she saw their faces. I can't give way to the fact that he was "charmed" if not "coerced", if you can bend the context somehow to fit that definition, because even if he didn't know that red bears were in the forest there's a real possibility of lethal danger stepping into the place. I can give in that he might've overestimated his capability to protect both Tina and Eric thus landing them the situation. As for that acknowledgement that she underestimated the game hunt, I will throw my hands up in the air because she gave an acknowledgement that she understood the dangers of going with them too yet HUMS behind them!! And IDK if you have felt frightened in a tense/hostile situation before but you'd be surprised, even as kids, about how much natural instinct kicks in to avoid further provocation, danger and/or hostility like taking slower, deeper breaths to not make as much noise, the hyper-focus, increased sensory perception, etc... it's way different from phobias where your legs would shake and maybe blackout, more like the fight or flight response. That's speaking from personal observations and experience so I do keep an open mind about how she reacts in that situation.
All in all, I do think your points were fair though not complete IMO, however I do think that my comments are just nitpicks and over-analyzing the scenario because you can just summarize the Tina thing with "she's just a sheltered little girl that went way over her head to just have a bit fun"
Thanks if you read all that, otherwise sorry for the wall of text XD!
TL;DR - I don't like Tina, kek
