Not a "Who's Lukka-san's parent?" Just accepting the fact that because they say Hi it's alright? Feels like a supernatural series.

i've been calling lukka "alien," "creature," "some sort of bug," and "little beast," but given the shape of the scarf's bow looking a bit like butterfly wings, i think she's meant to be taken as some sort of fairy or similar entity.

i especially think this might be the case given that so far lukka has been referenced multiple times during discussions of weather phenomena, such as in chapter 1 when hoshi was asking about auroras and someone replying they haven't seen lukka around, and the guy here in ch 3 joking about lukka's sneeze causing wind gusts. however, nothing has been stated explicitly in the text as to who or what lukka actually is yet; all we know is that she's a little girl.

as an aside, did you notice that among her drawings, lukka included some reindeer and a fox, which are animals exclusive to the north pole? kind of an interesting detail for a girl that lives at the south pole.

First, thanks a lot for translating this manga. It's a nice read and I really enjoyed it, I took a look at your other mangas as well and will try them out. But don't think that will stop me from a bit of nitpicking. :)

There are no true foxes close to Antarctica, but on the Falklands there were the Falklands wolf, much more like a fox than a wolf, and so friendly towards people that it was easy to kill, so it is now extinct. Another species that still exists there is a culpeo, a lycalopex species. Lycalopex are often called South American foxes because they are so fox-like ( a bit of convergent evolution).

Reindeer are even closer to Antarctica; Norwegian whalers introduced them to South Georgia in the early 1900s, and they trived there. The Brits who claim to own the island killed them all (over 5000) as an unwanted, introduced species just a few years ago, although they took some alive and introduced them to the Falklands where they also do well. Hmmm.. The French who have a base on the Kerguelen islands near Antarctica have also introduced reindeer there, so there have been reindeer in several places close to Antarctica for a long time.
Lukka knew what she was doing.

Oh, and from next chapter pg.6: Skua are the enemy of the penguins, not seagulls. A Skua might look like a big and aggressive seagull, but they are different. We have them in the Arctic too.

Soory for the nitpicking, I just couldn't resist. :)
