I mean,if the BFF was butt naked in the cake and over half of the icing was on the BFF,then sure, one could say there's a very slight inkling of affection, especially if they wake up hung over with clothes everywhere but on their bodies, before finding the VHS tape of the whole shebang.

Anything less is purely platonic casual sex,as the wise scholars have posted.

No, she actually just gave her a piece of cake with a candle. But lol, we live in a timeline where people call BL-bait anime, where the main conflict is based on two men loving the same woman, so...
Fair enough. It just felt abrupt/out of nowhere, because the whole time when she was carrying the legless player there were no hints of Yuki developing this kind of personality. Perhaps this is ye olde adaptation pacing issue and the LN had some extra scenes to smoothen out her turns.
You're not the only one who didn't notice this. Because simply showing arrogance and suddenly turning into the fucking Joker are two different things, hahaha. However, a lot depends on how things develop. Perhaps the manga really does represent things poorly.

Damn, retardation is being poured out in spades.

And there's definitly a few three line sentences that might've elaborated upon her feelings at the time that were cut out.

Are you about manga probably distorts the more intelligible text of the LN?

Less distort, more of the original author, the comic artist, and quite probably the editor trying to decide which lines to not include from the novel, which most likely ended with them deciding that a(of many)three line sentence describing her emotions could be cut out since they can just use a few words and facial expressions to get it accross, not realising the amount they've cut results in sharper changes.

As others have said, there were hints of it,but without the explanation for the psychological state she's encountered at this moment,it appears more abrupt.

Are you guessing, or have you read the original? I'm just used to manga adaptations expanding on the events out of a need to provide more content.

Most text to comic adaptations cut out a lot(they rarely actually expand,or even add new content),and things get cut further when an animated adaptation occurs, what takes three sentences to explain either gets explained visually or never gets explained.

Well, the manga adaptation of Youjo Senki does expand the story considerably, and even the author seems to have acknowledged it. But the problem seems to be that the original YS was rather dry.

That's probably why.

There's also the teen-fication of stories, like how the original novel and comic versions of GATE are a lot more brutallay graphic then the animated adaptation, and I assume the same is coming for the Navy sequel.

Well, the anime will probably be a direct adaptation of LN, so it will be interesting to see if they can add anything with enough effort.

nice maybe this is the start of her development but her wanting the leader not to die is a little red flag LOL
