@Hasya whole point was that she wasn't gonna marry him or live with him after he became a puppet again, although i do think that point was dragged out along 84 chapters; definitely should've been condensed
@AfroSparrow
I can understand why she killed herself
Its just that things ended up on a very sad note for him... after all he sacrificed, all he lost
and when things its all over andhe may have thought he will live happily ever after
you see her dead body
While its great impact ending i am just saying its sad hence what i said
@AfroSparrow
This actually has another part or side story like https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=67890
afik thats a collection of stories nobody translated it tho...
Got the raws.. time to find a TL
Kind of an abrupt ending. What of the toad, shemale, and samurai who would not kill? Did I miss their importance or were they just there to lengthen the story?
@zerimaR This is Yamaguchi's retelling of the first chapter of Suruga-jou Gozen Jiai, which is a series of short stories, each is around a match in the tournament. All other named characters have more of their tales in later chapters in the novel, which Yamaguchi never planned to adapt into a manga in the first place.
As a literature student, I say this manga has sooooo much to be discussed.
The ending, although painful, is just too good and satisfying for the theme and idea it wants to tell.
Masterpiece.
Gennosuke-You lack honor. How fucking dare you sully Irako's body while parading your bs crusade.
Mie-You're selfish shit. Stringing your fucking boy toy along to satisfy your personal fantasy and ditching him when that's over.
Irako should've won or at least tied with them both dying. If he won and been tasked to behead Fujiki, he would've moved on with his life and not let some drama get to him-might've even morn Gennosuke afterwards. Fujiki is just a hypocritical bastard.
