Oh my god that would be such a hilarious twist and totally on brand for this series. The bully genuinely had a change of heart and reflected on his actions and gets murdered for his trouble on Kubaru-chan's orders because it's not part of the "script" Kubaru wrote for MC's life. It's the only way this complete change of character will work.
