Jesus christ, the writing is trash. I never cared about this Jessica person or her previous incarnation. If they just showed a random hobo, who was also an incarnation of a random hobo from the past, off the streets betraying the protagonists, it would have the exact same effect as this one. It's true that I never could've seen this one coming, but that's because I couldn't care enough about this Jessica person to waste my thoughts on her in the first place. I feel absolutely nothing about this betrayal, but the author is treating it like it's very serious.
