Of course we are! Everybody knows that a romantic comedy must focus on the main couple only. Nothing else.

If Shikimori and Izumi aren’t on a panel, everyone must ask “where’s Shikimori and Izumi?” If a chapter doesn’t end with them having some PDA, we riot.

After all, our tiny attention spans make us physically incapable of doing anything but F5-ing our follow lists, reading the single chapter that appears, then back to F5-ing. If we can’t squeeze any dopamine out of reading a single standalone chapter, that’s the fault of the author and not us.

Shikimori-san's expressions when he found the scarf is priceless. It feels like she freezed for some seconds as the point of view of the next panel changed.

And honestly, I'm glad that this manga has a balance between comedy and romance. Um, well not too balanced though, but for me, subjectively, it's a mile better than some manga that has 200+ chapters but the main couple doesn't even have a chance to progress. Well, I know that one focuses comedy more and it's not wrong and I like comedy too, but as a person who seeks some fluffy romance, dragging it more by adding some side couples and even pushing more progress to these side couples makes me feel down.

Uh, I never said I had a problem with side characters getting development or having spotlight time. Literally the only thing I said was I found it silly that two whole chapters were dedicated to finding a scarf. Which, come on, is kinda silly. I'm fully aware other things happened that were important to each of the characters.

But, whatever, let's get the pitchforks and ANGERY.

@paela69 youre right there was but it was fairly early on. i knew you were right but i guess i misunderstood your question when you first commented, so i apologize if i sounded a bit condescending. i went and looked while writing this comment and found a glimpse on 38 and the main story in 41. i dont really remember if they had a “how we met” story yet but im too tired to look so i probably will check after i sleep.
