I agree that her name can be a pun with honey (蜂蜜) if pronounced that way. I remember reading somewhere that the spelling of her name (八満) is similar to Oregairu's Hachiman (八幡), though it can be also pronounced as Hachimitsu? I know it's been translated both ways in these scanlations, not sure which one is the official pronunciation/if the previous sentence is even correct. Regardless, if there's an animal allusion, bees make sense.Hachimitsu's probably a reference to bees (TN: Hachimitsu means honey)
I'll admit this one is a bit more of a stretch, despite the similar design (they do have rather different personalities). I think a reader theory popped up about it because both Inuzuka, Hachimitsu, and Nekozaki were all introduced in the same chapter (18), and if Hachiman Yui is a reference, maybe Inuzuka's character design could be too? If not, I think we will still use the nickname because of the similarities; it's very clear who we're referring to, heh. That being said, idk if Brokugo was meant to be a homage to Bakugo as much as it is they just have similar designs.
