Well the actual reason in the story is even dumber.
It has to do with the pre-reincarnation MC.
So Tsukushi was a massive coomer with a sister complex and he was jorking it, not helping . Now their relationship obviously isn't healthy, with the way they get touchy feely and spoil him as in real life that would be creepy. I we will be referring to the pre-reincarnation MC as Taro. Ya with me?
So basically Yuri is actually inspired to get into her line of work by watching the TV reports of Taro. She also has a massive crush on the guy. On the day Taro dies, she decides not to spoil Tsukushi too much. Yuri obviously is in a less than ideal mood and I think Yuri basically hit Tsukushi by reflex when she was getting shit to change or something along those lines.
