@Southpaw Like I said that doesn't change anything it's a direct continuation and not a simple timeskip.

"And taken from Sawayalaw:
Gross negligence is the extreme indifference to or reckless disregard for the safety of others. Gross negligence is more than simple carelessness or failure to act. It is willful behavior done with extreme disregard for the health and safety of others. It is conduct likely to cause foreseeable harm.

"Extreme indifference" or "reckless disregard for the safty of others".."
And where does this contradict with anything that I said?
Read this: "Gross Negligence can only happen when someone doesn't fulfill their responsibilities with due commitment, which may result in problems. "
Not doing something with "due commitment" already implies indifference and recklessness.

"Sure, they were thugs. But this still by all means falls under the term of 'gross negligence'.
And it is things like these that make me say that she is acting "too carefree". Because this is how she is actually depicted.... In which therefore ""pointing out a scenario where she was paying attention"" doesn't change the overrall depection of her."
No it doesn't, the only thing here is you being extremely pedantic and neglecting to look at the whole picture.
Who was caught "hostage"?
Mathias the strongest human in the entire world, the one she fears the most. She swiftly deat with the situation, and didn't kill a single one of the bandits, in the most efficient manner.
Which was possible because she had absolute certainty that this action wouldn't result in any negatives.
As proof all bandits were captured alive with no serious wounds, and it was only possible because she was fully aware that no metter what strength she used it would NOT affect Mathias. Just look at Mathias face afterwards. At first he thought she would exaggerate but then he merely looked surprised at her methods. Where she trully reckless do you really think the Bandits would go unscathed like they were? Have you forgotten when she miscalculated her strength before?

"Yes, because I am sure the century old dragon has never seen butterflies before. But have been sure to have had a lot of conversations...."
Are you seriously saying this, have you forgotten how big she trully is? Do you really think she would have noticed fine details like this? You're understimating the importance of a change in perspective, do you really think she would ahve noticed the collors and patterns of a buterfly's wing when whe was pretty much a flying fortress?

@BloodySorcerer

.... I have no clue why you have such a hard time to grasp such simple concepts...

First of all, there is a literal title card that they had arrived at the next checkpoint. Which was after a fade out.
The artist used two 'visual cues' to actually show passage of time....
That is what they are used for...
How about looking at the "flow" of conversation in of itself then. It starts at the first checkpoint..
Are you honestly suggesting that the short conversation carried over from those two checkpoints? Without a breakage of time....?

Secondly, I never said if it went against your own definition or not... All I did was using and showing, a real and proper source, when presenting my case... Like one should be doing... In order to ground my case propely... Unlike you.....

Thirldy. I wrote the chapter so you could go back and reread it for yourself.
Clearly you haven't. Because I refuse to believe that you actually decided to reread that chapter and still spout all this nonsense. Especially since you then have the nerve to claim I should look at the whole picture.
I don't even know were to begin addressing it.. Nor if I have to time to point everything out...
Just go read it again. You're spouting so much nonsense right now that I actually start to believe that you're trolling.
And if you actually have read it... Then I guess no matter what I say, it will be pointless...

Fourthly. What I said at the end was just 'en passant'.
But still, you clearly didn't understand my message when you unironically did what I essentially wanted to make fun of.
You go on great lenght trying to justify her being childlike towards butterflies.
But missed the part that I actually compared it with having a conversation with other people, and what might be of more importance for a dragon with no company for a long time.

Alas. I realized a long time ago that you are either a very dedicated troll, or far from being bright enough to have a decent convesation with.
Write your wall of text. I have stated my points and more, several time now. And I think it will like always, fly over you.

However, let me end with this. I am 90% sure that the reason for conflict in the next chapter will be due thanks to Iris following that butterfly.

Iris is like this manga nezuko......Nezuko 2.0
Serious stuff going on in the manga and then we have a panel right beside all that with Iris not giving a crap, catching butterflies and sleeping.

There's a guy on page 40 writing with gauntlets on...
Sometimes I wonder if mangakas are as deadbrained as the manga they write. Then I realize they wouldn't be able to write at all so that's probably impossible

Giruas: "I won't use magic because I've never used magic in my life."
Also Giruas: copies his opponent's magic during the fight

Gotta say, I'm disappointed in this fight. Would've loved it if he was a Rock Lee type that used hard work to train his body to match magic-users, but instead he just uses magic on a subconscious level. He was really fun to watch (probably because I personally like the spirited fighter that reacts to a stronger opponent with a grin), but was done dirty as soon as his attack was blocked with one hand. It was like the author was saying "Hey, fall in line. No being better than the protagonist."

@cannarali You can't expect a dragon thousands of years old to care about transient human politics. None of that is serious for her. She only cares about the culinary side of the civilization.

Thanks for the chapter!
In LN part of Giruas' complaint about the manual was it didn't make sense to him, couldn't use magic listed and considered it trash. MC then explains that was the old school manual and that the one he's holding is the new one he wrote himself.
Talk about a carefree dragon. Unless it involves MC or food any information probably goes in one ear and out the other. She's really cute though. Although does she look like a kid because trying to blend in with group or because that's the human equivalent of her age and maturity as a dragon?
Wonder if the strengthening equipment is deliberately made the way it is so the users can take out anyone they need to fight, but will wear them out or injure them eventually decreasing number of potential threats and/or decreasing likelihood of turning against whoever made them. That or maker really hates humans and/or his enforced working conditions under a black company with no breaks, vacation, and most importantly no coffee.

Btw. likely reaction to machine reading is because guy is a fan of theirs and withholding urge to desperately beg for their autographs. That or just found out they're considered suspicious and the regime strictly enforces attitude of killing off suspicious people regardless of innocence or guilt to prevent their wrongdoings being exposed.

I came to talk about how MC should train the genius guy as he seems useful and instead I see pseudo intellectuals trying to "one up" each other on the internet.
