Na. She must be some kind of ogre or oni(!=demon), but certainly not that kind of demon, we have seen in this manga so far. I mean, she can't be. She is stacked.
I would know, because I looked at the other female demons before. Really hard. Nope, they are definitely different.
Why bother infiltrating? Just burn the whole city to the ground with everyone within. Who gives a rats ass about few humans, if you get to diminish the demon numbers by such a massive amount?
Oh well, she about to meet her maker. Rip
Or they will play it off as being controlled to get deeper into investigation what's truly going on in the city.
@Siikalahna ...you do know that there are more humans there than demons there, right? Iirc MC said there was only about 30 demons in the city. And from just them entering the city, its pretty obvious there are more than just "a few" humans.
And the MC is representing the kingdom. Why would he jeopardize his position that allows easy traveling to kill 30 demons and a city full of humans? Do you not see the damage control he would have to do?
It would be nice if folks weren't so damn genocidal. Bloody Hell! Seems like the demons & humans need their heads knocked together!
I wonder what the fallout would be for mixed-race demon-humans? 🤔 Would they all get murdered by both groups or not?
Seems like these "demons" operate off of a power caste system of whom is the most proficient magic user/fighter.
I wonder if the demons also have those hand tattoos as well or if they have other markings to determine their powers/abilities.
I'm rather disappointed at the grotesque level of racism by both groups (human & demon), as well as the other bigotries. The author seems to be trope busting at certain points like with the monster & demon expressions. However, being just as murderous as the "demons" doesn't seem to improve matters.
Likewise, if the demons nuke the planet, what is to protect them from that same magic?
I feel like this has some other sociopolitical commentary satire that I'm either missing, or the characters come across extremely immature & genocidal. Each group wanting to wipe the other out. At least, The Devil Is A Part-Timer
has the devils/demons recognize that they were wrong & in the end, Maou/Satan, who ordered the invasion, later recognizing his folly & genocide (he had good intentions, but failed to understand humans & admits it matter of factly), and thus works towards positive & unifying ends, ultimately protecting humans & hooking up with the "hero" of humanity who cut off his horn & forced him/his generals to flee. They recognize their mutual shortcomings & find a way forward. I rather wish that would happen here vs mass genocide. It doesn't make either group look very good imo.
I kinda like the fact that nobody ever explicitly mentions it...
... but first the shared drink with the heart straws...
...... then the shared omurice with the heart on it......
......... and now this blatant display of detail bias in the illusions... =3
