Poor Misora. ;o; I can't help but be reminded of my friend who thought she was dying when she first got her period because her dad and older bro never had the foresight to talk about those kinds of things with her...

'I don't know' is a pretty good answer after all we are/will be haunted by the decisions we make while we're immature.

How would you know though? Google it? Weigh the pros and cons? There must be a systematic way to know, right?

knowing is a particular thing
is knowledge innate? maybe some is, while most aren't (think instincts, drives, basic motor skills, etc.)
some trans people "knew" when they were little - usually quantified by their subconscious and conscious desires
some only knew until they were much older
if the information is not easy to come across/commonly known and you don't actively seek it out, then the discovery will come at its own pace, often times too late
kids nowadays are more fortunate in that there's so much more visibility and representation and information so readily available out there that it isn't much of a gradual process anymore

they don't have to go through all the pain and confusion of not knowing and just go straight to the pain of knowing

There is a profound pain in not knowing, and seeing Misora struggling is something that I can really emphasize with. Misora clearly only has their own feelings to guide them, and doesn't have anyone out there who shares their specific lived experience. The lounge is the closest thing they have, which is why Tasuku offering his hand at the end means so much.
