very unsatisfying because obviously rem and his goons could abduct dora and kinu and do whatever elaborate thing they wanted. we're meant to believe that Rem is so psychologically fragile that he's willing to launch a campaign of murder to get revenge on kinu but isn't willing to abduct kinu and actually get revenge on her.
