The train and "I don't even know where we're headed" gives me GLT flashbacks. I love how everyone is intrinsically isolated but Chito and Yuuri are still together. Shimeji wears the same kind of helmet as the potatos, records spin round and round without going anywhere, humans evolved from fish.

Next chapter is in 2 months again.

i mean this in the best way, this chapter is just eva episode 26. we love to see it.

sort of a post-thought not entirely related to the work, but it's interesting that, at least in western fandom spaces, people are quick to acknowledge when stuff is like human instrumentality when that observation is so surface level. eva 25 - eoe are grand apocalyptic works, but they function because at their core, like with Shijima, the events feel incredibly personal and introspective.
