They've gone out of their way to remove any unsavory violence or death besides Mao's mom so far. Leon doesn't cut a cross into the tattoo on his hand (The most ridiculous change to date) and the Underworld Chef that tried to steal the knife didn't get a chance to kill himself.

Wouldn't be surprised if they, well, I don't wanna spoil it, but it has to do with Shouan. Could go either way on that one though.
