...He's shown to be pretty smart until now. Yet now he thinks in a world where Gods are worshipped and walk amongst men, he can just say bad things about said gods and there won't be consequences? He should know that saying Astaroth caused the stampede would require serious proof, yet now he's this complete idiot who thinks his word is good enough. His word against the highly esteemed Astaroth in a world that holds gods in high regard.

I feel like i'm witnessing a completely different character. Thats how stupid his actions are this chapter. But ok, hopefully this stuff doesn't keep happening.

that was kinda wack, he came to understand that the gods are revered, and people believe in their every words, then immediately about to say one of the most loved gods is the one that caused the stampede, and his proof is nothing but "Trust me bro". He even questioned why his sister jumped in.

You forget that this is a 12 year old child, most adults wouldn't be able to keep their cool in this situation let alone someone whose 12 years of age. This "stupidity" of his shows that he's not a perfect and will act based on his emotions as well. This is how a good character is written, you seem to like the "perfect in every way" mc's but those are only really good if the story allows it, witch in this case it doesn't.

This is a kid who for 12 years straight never told a soul that he had made a contract with a mysterious God and was able to keep up the act that he was no one special. A kid who Kept his cool from constant ridicule that he was a loser, even from his own father and didn't spill the beans when his sister threatened to kill herself to protect his honor from their father.

You are honestly trying to tell me that someone able to do all that can't possibly keep a level head in this situation!!! I'm all for flaws but given everything we have seen. This feels very out of character rather than a flaw he has been shown to have.
