basically the other party members ditch the hero and sage to go find red, because red basically carried the party by doing all the busy work so they could stay in top form (on top of being an honest to god good tactician and strategist) eventually the hero learns the sage drove red away, and since red is her brother she did not take to that very kindly and almost killed the sage (more accurately, did kill him, since she hit him so hard he was missing a chunk of his torso, but she knew how to use uber tier healing so she healed him since the hero isn't allowed to harm party members)

So the skill system seems to be:

Guide: Class with an initial starting level bonus for the purpose of supporting the Hero until they are ready to stand on their own. No class skills.
Skills: There are class skills and common skills. Some common skills are unlockable at level 30 for certain classes.

Somehow the MC started at the level of a late-career soldier and was also able to level up. So he should rank as "national asset" level of power. But he isn't powerful enough to stand on the same level as the hero and sage so he was kicked out of that party AND his position of vice-captain.

This manga is very bad at explaining things. This dude said he started out at level 30. A level which is something like a master class swords men. And, he is currently level 46, pretty fucking high if I do say so myself. If he trains hard enough, he would be even stronger than the hero, but apparently he’s not. And, this mage says he’s just dead weight, so by that logic he was kicked out of his position of vice captain. He also has basic skills above level 30. So, he’s already powerful from the get go. And that pretty useless ain’t it? I mean, he only defeated that one demon general with ease. You know, that all totally makes sense! There’s absolutely no plot holes in here what do ever!

When you have a crush, you generally at least try to suck up to people close to them, but no. The sage kicks his crush’s older brother to get closer to her just because he’s jealous. He pretty much the type of character to go all “it’s all his fault” when he gets found out, which he most likely will.

@OP_zed because it's totally the fault of the regular citizens of the kingdom and they need to die for it. I don't think you understand that when these heroes are protecting kingdoms or countries they don't do it for the kings or the nobles, they do it for the defenseless and innocent people who had nothing to do with this war. It's not fair to leave the innocent to die. I know many don't like this mindset but it is the duty of the strong to protect the weak, because even the weak are needed in a society of strong.

btw weak does not mean lazy. Lazy people don't deserve to be protected, you work and earn your keep unless you physically aren't able to.
