Do Ruti x Tise ever become a thing? I honestly can't help but wonder since they have a lot of moments that could be interpreted as subtext, with this chapter even making some parallels between Red x Lit and Ruti x Tise

No, but I agree and totally ship them. To the current english translated volume nothing's explicitly happened there, they're still basically best friends and roommates. It remains to be seen whether anything will happen by the end.

Anime season 1 and this manga is pretty much the same, IMO it just the matter of what media you prefer.

Im not recommend season 2 though, either you just pretend the story end here or maybe just read LN.

How is that head canon, Ruti says verbatim that she's aiming for to be gideons concubine. unless the manga left that out which wouldn't surprise me.

The Ruti gunning for gideon is just straight up canon.

As for the manga it ended where season 1 of the anime ends. So it doesn't really go far enough to develop that.

But has Ruti straight up saying to MC's face "I Love You".... again making the headcanon of Ruti x Tise stupid.

I am fine with this ending. I actually would've been a bit peeved off if they had this happy chapter only to have the next one be some dumb bullshit like the whole town being destroyed by a random evil guy or something. Anyone know if they have a kid or something if the LN goes farther?

Just found this out today, but there's a spinoff called "Rejected by the Hero's Party, a Princess Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside"

As you can imagine, its Rit's pov of what she did before she reunited with mc.

It has 5 chapters, but not on mangadex

I'm a bit sad that it won't go further...

On the other hand, we did get to the major break point. Pretty good place to end it.

I feel like the manga was a bit more... neutral than the novel.

The novel went deeper into the the whole blessing/impulse issues, and I found that really interesting worldbuilding. Manga focused on it less, and was more SOL oriented.

Also really smoothed over Ruti's brocon level.

Enjoyed this manga a lot.

They wrapped up this version rather well by cleaning up some plot threads as well as truly giving them a fully coherent "retirement from war" future and a very happy ending.

Also enjoyed how they made Ruti less of a romantic bro-con and more of a clingy sister who doesn't want to share his time with anyone else.

Now for some quality family time. Especially for this pair of siblings who've been unfairly denied the opportunity to peacefully live like normal siblings for the longest time. It's one wholesome tour through town. Complete with fantasy fish and chips, and the ever-present manga staples like Takoyaki. And then a feast at home with friends and family. I'm only a little sad I didn't get to see Red and Rit's kid(s) (I'm sure they'll have at least one, right? More than one would be even more believable, I feel)

Well, for being the title that popularized the "banished from the party" trope and rocked it before it was cool, this was a fun ride. Others may try to copy, but I feel that this one knew what it was doing. So ends one more manga journey of mine after years have passed. Cheers! 🥂
