Putting aside the overused slavery trope... which is just one more exhausting cliche after several others...

How does the MC identify the poison after he cured it? Why would it still show on the status screen?

Also, you know the author ran out of imagination when the class (sorry, "crass" 😆 ) is "princess of a fallen country" instead of "princess of country xxx". Why is it so specific that it isn't just "princess", but also so generic as to not name the country?

It's all good he called her a companion and she likes him definitely not messed up. It's not like there is a bunch of other young exploited woman being sold to any people that may be unkind unlike him.

"I'm not a bad guy" said the man who was about to buy a slave.
Honestly though... is it worse for her to:
A) Stay in a slave shop
B) Get bought by someone who treats her as a slave
C) Get bought by someone who will treat her with respect

A little bit messiah complex but in his scenario I would consider buying a slave and treating them like a contracted employee.

Even if the character doesn't want to upend the social order and abolish slavery as an institution, if the character really wanted to go for the "good" answer, it'd probably be something like "Buy, free her, and then offer the job". Or at least just don't use the magic binding.
