Well, she fell cleanly into the exact trap she warned her bodyguard about...

Facepalm...
She just fell into the trap, she herself warned about...
Is she for real?

@ReaVen_LEAD It is easy to ignore when you don't have feelings on the matter, but when someone loved to you is hurt reasoning is the least of the thing it comes to mind.

Yes, it is a trap, but traps aren't a guarantee of victory to those that set it, they can easily turn around and become the strength to those that fall on them.

Now how things will evolve from here is the important thing, but I do hope the other chiefs know that concessions arent made without expectations, just because the guy says something doesn't mean much in the long run if they can't enforce the deal.

This Victorus guy is cunning, truth be told I am happy that we are dealing with an enemy with something more in their heads than the use of muscle, I like me a cunning enemy.

That Dhala guy is walking on a dangerous rope.

Sure, he may have won that one by setting up this situation, but if the truth emerge, he's dead. If he's a Dhala fanatic that doesn't care about dying tho...

I don't really understand why he wants the Nomad to rebel tho. They clearly can't win a full-on war. Does he wants to create an excuse for the Dhala army to invade ?

Ok so from this chapter, its clear to me the parrallels. The Sinchar represents the Ottoman empire, complete with soldiers looking like Janissaries while the various beastmen tribes represents the various Arab tribes living under the empire and we are about to have an Arab revolt, interestingly French supported with the involvement of Dhala.

I feel like this arc is going to be a story of balancing interest, since clearly the chief is in a bind with Dhala providing support for the revolt and there will be a clear incentive to do so from all sides, so its a matter of ensuring that they keep their influence at bay while still accepting their help

@ShinGetsu
Conflict between the two powers will wear each other down, no matter who wins, they'll be in a weak position by the time its over.
Perfect time to invade.

@ShinGetsu maybe he doesn't want them to win, but for the Sinchar to have a "plausible reason" to exterminate/enslave them (playing both sides is not unheard of). They probably know the desert's nectar is on the tribes and with Kai around they want to destroy it before Albion gets it.
Also, that would make a grateful state that would easily become a puppet one, specially with Victorious around.

A bit but Dhala is supposed to be representing like the French in this world so its a bit of a twist. IN this case we are going to have to fight against the captain at some point to maintain independence of the nomads

Finally, a pair of boobs that can fight again. If this rabbit ends up being a faucet for Kai later on, it's good to know she's able to actually DO something unlike the past few who only exist for their boobs. Also, I honestly thought that pre-rape was a flashback that was giving us an idea of why the chief didn't want to side with all the brainwashed dudes. It was happening at such an awkward time in the story.

I think you guys misunderstood. It's not like she didn't know this was a trap.

She knew, but she had no choice but falling into it.

If she didn't, she would lose all credibility among other leaders, her subordinates, and her people.
