Another slow exposition chapter in this arc. The highlight is definitely the part where we see all the countries and leaders, very cool.

Am I the only person on Earth though who is happy to see Victorius again? Definitely one of my more favorite characters. I feel like him appearing here coupled with what's said about it basically being his last chance means Dhala might end up getting a W in this arc though. I can't see them not doing something with the plot point of Victorius knowing Kai's identity as Grey at some later point, due to him getting removed from his position for failing twice in a row. The fact Kai seemingly isn't involved in this arc either could also make it possible for Dhala to win in this arc, because that means it wouldn't be a stain on Grey's reputation of him losing a country to Dhala, since he isn't involved.

Sinchar arc is already complex and Hua Liang arc's build up and setting seem indicated it's going to be chaotic, bloody, and messy. I wonder, how Kai will get involve in this one. Will he be there as an envoy or messenger?
He will be the stick of dynamite while everyone else will be using an angling rod and getting their lines tangled... ;)

Since Kai did his shenanigans as Grey, Dhala rarely got a win, didn't they? If they could manage to get a win in this affair, it would be huge.

I'm happy too. Not!Lawrence of Not!Arabia has been one of the most interesting villains so far, definitely more interesting than Regan or Velanto. With him on board, we can expect a battle of diplomacy and wits.

Yeah I think they've taken Ls in pretty much every arc since Kai became Grey lol

The only win they've gotten unless I'm forgetting something was making the Queen look bad with the whole military academy debacle. But as a country, it's just been military defeat after military defeat for them

I'm very happy to see Victorius return, even though it hasn't been long since we last saw him.
His affable attitude and wit make him a lot more multi-dimensional and interesting as a villain than the other Dhala representatives.

Who is the girl with the streaks in her hair? The assassin empress?

Ofc there's an old hag causing things.

As much as I want Kai to kick ass and save the day, I also wish that Sakura grows stronger as well

The members of the race of Hua Liang, or at least the exemplars of royal blood, have little scales at the side of the cheeks right below their eyes, with those horns... they obviously allude to some ancestry of a draconic race.

Jusui is cute... but because of how I have been reading Apothecary's Diaries for some years now, I know that the women that are given to such harem, especially the ones that were practically bred for the purpose and especially the young ones, were seen as nothing more than breeding mares.

Sure, doubt she has had any difficulties in life, but not an enviable position actually, and as the youngest with the youngest son... her position is beyond fragile... not because she isn't in a favorable position, she is of very good "breeding", but because if she is the one chosen, girl will be nothing more than a puppet... if she doesn't catch a case of an early grave.

I mean... the queen mother doubtfully would want to give her position so soon.

Now, who is Ginren? Sakura didn't recognize her, but she had a portrait that was last seen with her sister, and clearly knew where to send it, so there is a little more to this story.

And things just got complicated, not wrongly so... it would be stupid that Dhala wouldn't take the opportunity, a powerful state leader dies and there are three candidates for the throne and the typical method of succession could not be followed, so... exactly like Reagan said, there is a lot of opportunity... but it had to be Artorius?
I just wish we got like a world map or a regional map. I think the author is just too afraid to commit
